In the Netherlands (Arnhem) I studied composition (jazz and classical composition) at the "Hogeschool voor de Kunsten" (today ArteZ) with Dolf de Kinkelder and Andries van Rossem. Later I continued my studies at the Cologne Music Academy with Bill Dobbins (then head of the WDR Big Band).
In addition to the time in the Netherlands, which shaped me a lot, important experiences for me were playing in the Landesjugendjazzorchester NRW and later working with the Bundesjazzorchester (conductor: Peter Herbolzheimer), for which I also composed and arranged.
My music is stylistically diverse and combines influences of jazz with modern classical music. In addition to music for professional ensembles, I have also written a lot of music for ambitious amateurs and students.
I have already received commissions from the Federal Jazz Orchestra, the German Music Council, the Over Betuwe College, the Cologne Gürzenich Choir Cologne, the Stephan-Max-Wirth Ensemble, the Clara-Schumann-Music-School and a few others.
I am currently working for the Robert Schumann Hochschule and the Langenfeld Music School and am a freelance composer and arranger
